How it went in

The base was excavated, levelled and compacted for drainage, then a weed barrier went down before the turf itself. We cut it in tight against the existing pavers and block wall, secured the edges, and spread infill so it sits and feels like a lawn rather than a carpet.

High-quality turf, which is what we use, lasts anywhere between 10 and 20 years with proper maintenance. Occasional brushing keeps it fresh, which matters most for households with pets.
